Saheeh International

1. فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ

   And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"

   الشعراء ৬১

2. قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ

   [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."

   الشعراء ৬২

3. فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

   Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.

   الشعراء ৬৩

4. وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ

   And We advanced thereto the others [i.e., the pursuers].

   الشعراء ৬৪

5. وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

   And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

   الشعراء ৬৫

6. ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ

   Then We drowned the others.

   الشعراء ৬৬

7. إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

   Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

   الشعراء ৬৭

8. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

   And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

   الشعراء ৬৮

9. وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

   And recite to them the news of Abraham,

   الشعراء ৬৯

10. إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ

    When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

    الشعراء ৭০

11. قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ

    They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."

    الشعراء ৭১

12. قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ

    He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?

    الشعراء ৭২

13. أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ

    Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"

    الشعراء ৭৩

14. قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

    They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."

    الشعراء ৭৪

15. قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

    He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,

    الشعراء ৭৫

16. أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ

    You and your ancient forefathers?

    الشعراء ৭৬

17. فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

    Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,

    الشعراء ৭৭

18. ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ

    Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.

    الشعراء ৭৮

19. وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ

    And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.

    الشعراء ৭৯

20. وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

    And when I am ill, it is He who cures me

    الشعراء ৮০

21. وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ

    And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

    الشعراء ৮১

22. وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

    And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

    الشعراء ৮২

23. رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

    [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

    الشعراء ৮৩
