Saheeh International

1. وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ

   Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;

   الحاقة ٣٦

2. لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَـٰطِـُٔونَ

   None will eat it except the sinners.

   الحاقة ٣٧

3. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ

   So I swear by what you see

   الحاقة ٣٨

4. وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

   And what you do not see

   الحاقة ٣٩

5. إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ

   [That] indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is the word of a noble Messenger.

   الحاقة ٤٠

6. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ

   And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

   الحاقة ٤١

7. وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

   Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.

   الحاقة ٤٢

8. تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

   [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

   الحاقة ٤٣

9. وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ

   And if he [i.e., Muḥammad] had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

   الحاقة ٤٤

10. لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ

    We would have seized him by the right hand;

    الحاقة ٤٥

11. ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ

    Then We would have cut from him the aorta.

    الحاقة ٤٦

12. فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَـٰجِزِينَ

    And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.

    الحاقة ٤٧

13. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

    And indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a reminder for the righteous.

    الحاقة ٤٨

14. وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ

    And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.

    الحاقة ٤٩

15. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

    And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

    الحاقة ٥٠

16. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ

    And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.

    الحاقة ٥١

17. فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

    So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

    الحاقة ٥٢

18. سَأَلَ سَآئِلٌۢ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ

    A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen

    المعارج ١

19. لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٌ

    To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer.

    المعارج ٢

20. مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِى ٱلْمَعَارِجِ

    [It is] from Allāh, owner of the ways of ascent.

    المعارج ٣

21. تَعْرُجُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ

    The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.

    المعارج ٤

22. فَٱصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا

    So be patient with gracious patience.

    المعارج ٥

23. إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُۥ بَعِيدًا

    Indeed, they see it [as] distant,

    المعارج ٦

24. وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبًا

    But We see it [as] near.

    المعارج ٧

25. يَوْمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلْمُهْلِ

    On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,

    المعارج ٨

26. وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ

    And the mountains will be like wool,

    المعارج ٩

27. وَلَا يَسْـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا

    And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend,
