Saheeh International

1. قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

   [Allāh] said, "O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?"

   الحجر ٣٢

2. قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ

   He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."

   الحجر ٣٣

3. قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ

   [Allāh] said, "Then depart from it, for indeed, you are expelled.

   الحجر ٣٤

4. وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ ٱللَّعْنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

   And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense."

   الحجر ٣٥

5. قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

   He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

   الحجر ٣٦

6. قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ

   [Allāh] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

   الحجر ٣٧

7. إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ

   Until the Day of the time well-known."

   الحجر ٣٨

8. قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

   [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them [i.e., mankind] on earth, and I will mislead them all

   الحجر ٣٩

9. إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

   Except, among them, Your chosen servants."

   الحجر ٤٠

10. قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَىَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ

    [Allāh] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight.

    الحجر ٤١

11. إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ

    Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators.

    الحجر ٤٢

12. وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

    And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all.

    الحجر ٤٣

13. لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَٰبٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ

    It has seven gates; for every gate is of them [i.e., Satan's followers] a portion designated."

    الحجر ٤٤

14. إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

    Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs,

    الحجر ٤٥

15. ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ

    [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]."

    الحجر ٤٦

16. وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ

    And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.

    الحجر ٤٧

17. لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ

    No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed.

    الحجر ٤٨

18. ۞ نَبِّئْ عِبَادِىٓ أَنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

    [O Muḥammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful,

    الحجر ٤٩

19. وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ٱلْأَلِيمُ

    And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.

    الحجر ٥٠

20. وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

    And inform them about the guests of Abraham,

    الحجر ٥١
