Saheeh International

1. ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ

   Which had weighed upon your back

   الشرح ٣

2. وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ

   And raised high for you your repute.

   الشرح ٤

3. فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

   For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].

   الشرح ٥

4. إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

   Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

   الشرح ٦

5. فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ

   So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

   الشرح ٧

6. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب

   And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

   الشرح ٨

7. وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ

   By the fig and the olive

   التين ١

8. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ

   And [by] Mount Sinai

   التين ٢

9. وَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ

   And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],

   التين ٣

10. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

    We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

    التين ٤

11. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَ

    Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

    التين ٥

12. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

    Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

    التين ٦

13. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ

    So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

    التين ٧

14. أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ

    Is not Allāh the most just of judges?

    التين ٨

15. ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ

    Recite in the name of your Lord who created

    العلق ١

16. خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ

    Created man from a clinging substance.

    العلق ٢

17. ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ

    Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -

    العلق ٣

18. ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ

    Who taught by the pen

    العلق ٤

19. عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ

    Taught man that which he knew not.

    العلق ٥

20. كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ

    No! [But] indeed, man transgresses

    العلق ٦

21. أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ

    Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

    العلق ٧

22. إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ

    Indeed, to your Lord is the return.

    العلق ٨

23. أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ

    Have you seen the one who forbids

    العلق ٩

24. عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ

    A servant when he prays?

    العلق ١٠

25. أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ

    Have you seen if he is upon guidance

    العلق ١١

26. أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ

    Or enjoins righteousness?

    العلق ١٢
