Saheeh International

1. إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ

   Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

   العاديات ٦

2. وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ

   And indeed, he is to that a witness.

   العاديات ٧

3. وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

   And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

   العاديات ٨

4. ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

   But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

   العاديات ٩

5. وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

   And that within the breasts is obtained,

   العاديات ١٠

6. إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ

   Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.

   العاديات ١١

7. ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

   The Striking Calamity -

   القارعة ١

8. مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

   What is the Striking Calamity?

   القارعة ٢

9. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

   And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

   القارعة ٣

10. يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ

    It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

    القارعة ٤

11. وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ

    And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

    القارعة ٥

12. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

    القارعة ٦

13. فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ

    He will be in a pleasant life.

    القارعة ٧

14. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    But as for one whose scales are light,

    القارعة ٨

15. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ

    His refuge will be an abyss.

    القارعة ٩

16. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ

    And what can make you know what that is?

    القارعة ١٠

17. نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ

    It is a Fire, intensely hot.

    القارعة ١١

18. أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

    Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

    التكاثر ١

19. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ

    Until you visit the graveyards.

    التكاثر ٢

20. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

    No! You are going to know.

    التكاثر ٣

21. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

    Then, no! You are going to know.

    التكاثر ٤

22. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ

    No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...

    التكاثر ٥

23. لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ

    You will surely see the Hellfire.

    التكاثر ٦

24. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ

    Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

    التكاثر ٧

25. ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

    Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
