Saheeh International

1. عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

   About what are they asking one another?

   النبإ 1

2. عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

   About the great news -

   النبإ 2

3. ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ

   That over which they are in disagreement.

   النبإ 3

4. كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ

   No! They are going to know.

   النبإ 4

5. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ

   Then, no! They are going to know.

   النبإ 5

6. أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًا

   Have We not made the earth a resting place?

   النبإ 6

7. وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا

   And the mountains as stakes?

   النبإ 7

8. وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا

   And We created you in pairs.

   النبإ 8

9. وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا

   And made your sleep [a means for] rest

   النبإ 9

10. وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا

    And made the night as clothing.

    النبإ 10

11. وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا

    And made the day for livelihood.

    النبإ 11

12. وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا

    And constructed above you seven strong [heavens].

    النبإ 12

13. وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا

    And made [therein] a burning lamp

    النبإ 13

14. وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا

    And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water.

    النبإ 14

15. لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا

    That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation.

    النبإ 15

16. وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا

    And gardens of entwined growth.

    النبإ 16

17. إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًا

    Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -

    النبإ 17

18. يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا

    The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

    النبإ 18

19. وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًا

    And the heaven is opened and will become gateways.

    النبإ 19

20. وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا

    And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.

    النبإ 20

21. إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا

    Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait

    النبإ 21

22. لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًا

    For the transgressors, a place of return,

    النبإ 22

23. لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا

    In which they will remain for ages [unending].

    النبإ 23

24. لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا

    They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink.

    النبإ 24

25. إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا

    Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -

    النبإ 25

26. جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا

    An appropriate recompense.

    النبإ 26

27. إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا

    Indeed, they were not expecting an account

    النبإ 27

28. وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا

    And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.

    النبإ 28

29. وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًا

    But all things We have enumerated in writing.

    النبإ 29

30. فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا

    "So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."

    النبإ 30
