Saheeh International

1. مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ

   They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.

   الشعراء ٢٠٧

2. وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ

   And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

   الشعراء ٢٠٨

3. ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ

   As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.

   الشعراء ٢٠٩

4. وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ

   And the devils have not brought it [i.e., the revelation] down.

   الشعراء ٢١٠

5. وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

   It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

   الشعراء ٢١١

6. إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ

   Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.

   الشعراء ٢١٢

7. فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ

   So do not invoke with Allāh another deity and [thus] be among the punished.

   الشعراء ٢١٣

8. وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ

   And warn, [O Muḥammad], your closest kindred.

   الشعراء ٢١٤

9. وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

   And lower your wing [i.e., show kindness] to those who follow you of the believers.

   الشعراء ٢١٥

10. فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

    And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."

    الشعراء ٢١٦

11. وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

    And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

    الشعراء ٢١٧

12. ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

    Who sees you when you arise

    الشعراء ٢١٨

13. وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

    And your movement among those who prostrate.

    الشعراء ٢١٩

14. إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

    Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

    الشعراء ٢٢٠

15. هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ

    Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?

    الشعراء ٢٢١

16. تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ

    They descend upon every sinful liar.

    الشعراء ٢٢٢

17. يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ

    They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

    الشعراء ٢٢٣

18. وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ

    And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;

    الشعراء ٢٢٤

19. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ

    Do you not see that in every valley they roam

    الشعراء ٢٢٥

20. وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ

    And that they say what they do not do? -

    الشعراء ٢٢٦

21. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ

    Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allāh often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.

    الشعراء ٢٢٧
