Saheeh International

1. وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ

   And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]

   الصافات ٧٧

2. وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

   And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:

   الصافات ٧٨

3. سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

   "Peace upon Noah among the worlds."

   الصافات ٧٩

4. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

   Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

   الصافات ٨٠

5. إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

   Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.

   الصافات ٨١

6. ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ

   Then We drowned the others [i.e., disbelievers].

   الصافات ٨٢

7. ۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ

   And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,

   الصافات ٨٣

8. إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ

   When he came to his Lord with a sound heart

   الصافات ٨٤

9. إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ

   [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?

   الصافات ٨٥

10. أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةً دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ

    Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allāh you desire?

    الصافات ٨٦

11. فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

    Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"

    الصافات ٨٧

12. فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ

    And he cast a look at the stars.

    الصافات ٨٨

13. فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌ

    And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."

    الصافات ٨٩

14. فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ

    So they turned away from him, departing.

    الصافات ٩٠

15. فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

    Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?

    الصافات ٩١

16. مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ

    What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?".

    الصافات ٩٢

17. فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ

    And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.

    الصافات ٩٣

18. فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ

    Then they [i.e., the people] came toward him, hastening.

    الصافات ٩٤

19. قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ

    He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,

    الصافات ٩٥

20. وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

    While Allāh created you and that which you do?"

    الصافات ٩٦

21. قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ

    They said, "Construct for him a structure [i.e., furnace] and throw him into the burning fire."

    الصافات ٩٧

22. فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ

    And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the most debased.

    الصافات ٩٨

23. وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ

    And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.

    الصافات ٩٩

24. رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

    My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."

    الصافات ١٠٠

25. فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ

    So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.

    الصافات ١٠١

26. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

    And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allāh wills, of the steadfast."

    الصافات ١٠٢
