Saheeh International

1. وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ

   And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

   النجم ٤٥

2. مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ

   From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

   النجم ٤٦

3. وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ

   And that [incumbent] upon Him is the other [i.e., next] creation.

   النجم ٤٧

4. وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ

   And that it is He who enriches and suffices

   النجم ٤٨

5. وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ

   And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius.

   النجم ٤٩

6. وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا ٱلْأُولَىٰ

   And that He destroyed the first [people of] ʿAad.

   النجم ٥٠

7. وَثَمُودَا۟ فَمَآ أَبْقَىٰ

   And Thamūd - and He did not spare [them] -

   النجم ٥١

8. وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ

   And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

   النجم ٥٢

9. وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ

   And the overturned towns He hurled down.

   النجم ٥٣

10. فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ

    And covered them by that which He covered.

    النجم ٥٤

11. فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ

    Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

    النجم ٥٥

12. هَـٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

    This [Prophet (ﷺ)] is a warner from [i.e., like] the former warners.

    النجم ٥٦

13. أَزِفَتِ ٱلْـَٔازِفَةُ

    The Approaching Day has approached.

    النجم ٥٧

14. لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ

    Of it, [from those] besides Allāh, there is no remover.

    النجم ٥٨

15. أَفَمِنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ

    Then at this statement do you wonder?

    النجم ٥٩

16. وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ

    And you laugh and do not weep

    النجم ٦٠

17. وَأَنتُمْ سَـٰمِدُونَ

    While you are proudly sporting?

    النجم ٦١

18. فَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ۩

    So prostrate to Allāh and worship [Him].

    النجم ٦٢

19. ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ

    The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

    القمر ١

20. وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ

    And if they see a sign [i.e., miracle], they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

    القمر ٢

21. وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ

    And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

    القمر ٣

22. وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ

    And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence.

    القمر ٤

23. حِكْمَةٌۢ بَـٰلِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ

    Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

    القمر ٥

24. فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ

    So leave them, [O Muḥammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,

    القمر ٦
