Saheeh International

1. ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

   "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

   النازعات ١٧

2. فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ

   And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself

   النازعات ١٨

3. وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ

   And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"

   النازعات ١٩

4. فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْـَٔايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

   And he showed him the greatest sign,

   النازعات ٢٠

5. فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

   But he [i.e., Pharaoh] denied and disobeyed.

   النازعات ٢١

6. ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

   Then he turned his back, striving [i.e., plotting].

   النازعات ٢٢

7. فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

   And he gathered [his people] and called out.

   النازعات ٢٣

8. فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

   And said, "I am your most exalted lord."

   النازعات ٢٤

9. فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

   So Allāh seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]..

   النازعات ٢٥

10. إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ

    Indeed in that is a lesson [i.e., warning] for whoever would fear [Allāh].

    النازعات ٢٦

11. ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا

    Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? He [i.e., Allāh] constructed it.

    النازعات ٢٧

12. رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا

    He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.

    النازعات ٢٨

13. وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا

    And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.

    النازعات ٢٩

14. وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ

    And after that He spread the earth.

    النازعات ٣٠

15. أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا

    He extracted from it its water and its pasture,

    النازعات ٣١

16. وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا

    And the mountains He set firmly

    النازعات ٣٢

17. مَتَـٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ

    As enjoyment [i.e., provision] for you and your grazing livestock.

    النازعات ٣٣

18. فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

    But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -

    النازعات ٣٤

19. يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ

    The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,

    النازعات ٣٥

20. وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ

    And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -

    النازعات ٣٦

21. فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ

    So as for he who transgressed

    النازعات ٣٧

22. وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا

    And preferred the life of the world,

    النازعات ٣٨

23. فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

    Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.

    النازعات ٣٩

24. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ

    But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,

    النازعات ٤٠

25. فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

    Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.

    النازعات ٤١

26. يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا

    They ask you, [O Muḥammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?

    النازعات ٤٢

27. فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ

    In what [position] are you that you should mention it?

    النازعات ٤٣

28. إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ

    To your Lord is its finality.

    النازعات ٤٤

29. إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا

    You are only a warner for those who fear it.

    النازعات ٤٥

30. كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا

    It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.

    النازعات ٤٦
